Description
Palo Verde Boat Safari and rum tour by Hacienda El Viejo
Palo Verde is a vital ecosystem in Costa Rica. These wetlands provide shelter to a wide range of wildlife in an area that suffers the side effects of the lack of water during the dry season, making it one of the best places in Guanacaste to spot wildlife. We will spend 2 hours on our boat tour, spotting animals and learning about the area’s natural history. This area is known to have crocodiles, iguanas, lizards, monkeys, anteaters, bats, herons, and egrets, among others. After our wildlife tour, we will enjoy lunch at La Casona El Viejo, a house with over 150 years of history. We will be guided through the rum history led by an expert who highlights each step, from the sugar cane harvesting to the final product, a central part of the culture of Central American and Caribbean countries. Enjoy a taste testing of delicious Costa Rican rum. Salud!
