Tapir Valley Reserve
Tapir Valley Nature Reserve is located at the base of Tenorio Volcano. This 20-acre wetland is a rewilded former cattle ranch where you will find the endemic Tapir Valley tree frog. A two-hour hike will take you through the lush rainforest, where you can listen to the frogs, spot birds and possibly see tapirs roaming and feeding.
