Tenorio Volcano National Park is home to one of the most beautiful rivers in Costa Rica, Rio Celeste. This hike will take you through the lush rainforest to an amazing, turquoise-colored river. This color comes from an optic phenomenon, produced by aluminosilicates minerals that refract the sunlight, revealing majestic color to your eyes. The hike takes about 4 hours going both: uphill and downhill. The combination of rainforest, volcanic activity and the majestic river is a perfect way to have a real Costa Rican experience. After our walk we will continue with the adventure, in fact we will get more adventurous by rafting down the river on an inner tube, for approximately 1:30 hrs.
