Ecocenter Danaus and Hanging Bridges

Enjoy a spectacular hike through the tropical rainforest, where you can appreciate nature from a unique perspective. The loop trail is about 1.8 miles (3 km) long and consists of 15 bridges, six suspended in the air, allowing for breathtaking views from the treetop canopy where many hard-to-spot animal species live. It is common to spot monkeys, birds, snakes, lizards, and much more along this hike. Next, we head to Ecocenter Danaus, a private ecological reserve where conservation, training, environmental education, and sustainable production programs are developed. The small but impressive center takes you through trails where you can spot sloths, agoutis, caimans, lizards, iguanas, and different species of exciting birds while appreciating the lush secondary forest. On-site, there is also a lagoon, butterfly garden, and Maleku Indian exhibit.
